It's not what you see, but how you see it.

I'm a Space Geek

Yes, it's true. I love Space. I'm a Space Geek.

If you haven't spent much time thinking about the infinate, it's never to late to explore.

Supernovas, light years, white dwarfs, constellations, iridescent ribbons of red intersteller hydrogen gases (very cool), nebulas, galaxies, comets....I could go on forever...

Thanks to the digital revolution, we are able to take the most breathtaking images of the universe. The COLORFUL universe! It's amazing!! When you think of space, do you see in black and white? Well, I've got news for you...it aint!

The most beautiful formations of color are painted above our heads. Our telescopes are finally being able to see in color. By using longer exposure times, AMATEAURS have been using modern electronic detectors that record light very differently from film. These smaller telescopes have produced some amazing photos. Get the magazine "Beautiful Universe" and you'll see what I mean. Gorgeous!

Have you ever wondered why my site is named "Wavelength?" Well wonder no more. It is a word astronomers use in terms of light and space. I considered "Frequency", but wouldn't you rather travel on the same wavelength? The same measure of light?
It just sounded better to me. Magical.

If you'd have asked me when I was 12, what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would have said..

"An Astronaut"

Then I found out how much math was involved! Well, it was a good idea. I lean more towards the artistic mind...using mostly the right side of my brain. Math resides in the left.

So, if I can't visit space in reality, I'll go there in my imagination, and I'm takin those pictures!

well then,
What IS an artist to do?

Write.
Write.
Write.

Annie Fanny goes to space.
