You're Special

Don't you feel special?

I'm giving myself a quick lunch break...and spending that time writing this post. You are so lucky!!

Here's the scoop...
I'm tiling the floor. It looks awesome!!! It gives the room that finished look, I've been so desperately missing.
Therapy with Thea yesterday went great. She didn't end up having time to walk because we met a lady with the same level of spinal cord injury. Kink in the T-12.
This lady had been in a car accident 2 1/2 years ago. She is almost the same age and has exactly the same leg inseam. We joked that they could share each other's leg braces. I am so happy about this!! We all talked for nearly an hour. She has the same determined attitude as Thea. Also she is further along in the process of trying to become a candidate for stem cell surgery in Portugal. Thea is waiting to hear from the doctor in Michigan. That doctor works with the one in Portugal. If Thea can get approved for the surgery, she will need to come up with more than 50 grand to have it done. I personally think it will cost a lot more than that!

Okay- enough. I have to get back to work!! Slave driver.
