Of course I like you

Your chest is hairy
Your eyes are the shining star
On this clear, hot night

Sandy hair I feel
long thin fingers touching me
how can this be free?

Torment pain is hell
I like you and no one knows
of course: A fresh day

how's that?

That works! Of course, it would stick out on a site like Discount Haiku. I can't help but think our comments back and forth, coupled with your distaste for my low-rent site has inspired you in some way.

(pats self on back)

I especially like the second verse. It's got a cool feel to it. I also like the line "Your chest is hairy." That's a great way to open a haiku.

Regardless, it gets the DJS seal of approval (for what it's worth)
