A Cool Morning in COOL, CA.

View from the backyard

Katie & Megan playing in the front yard

This was the scene at our house this morning, bright and early, 7:30am. My girls have never woken up in there own beds with a fresh blanket of snow waiting to dazzle their faces.
Well, Katie has...but that was many years ago when she was only 2 year old. She doesn't remember it much. Our neighbors have grown children and said that our area hasn't seen this much snow in nearly 16 years. I'd say we got about 5 inches overnight. Very "COOL".
Interestingly enough, these same neighbors happened to have 2 bright pink sledding saucers they offered to let the girls use. Isn't that nice. They are very nice. I should bake them something. Hmm...if only I liked to bake!
Cookies...YEAH! Everyone likes warm chocolate chip cookies on wet snowy days. I know I will enjoy making cookies with Megan. Anytime spent with her is fun.

Hi Kathy!
All the neighbor kids, dogs and parents were out sledding down the hill behind our houses. We really jump in elevation from Cool. We used a ruler and measured 9 inches of the magical stuff! We used to get this almost every winter when we first moved here 15 years ago. I hope it doesn't interfere with your dames night out later!! Have fun.

Hey buddy!
What a difference 5 miles makes! Apparently, 4 inches.
As for the party...YOU really should be coming! There's gonna be about 10 of us. Plans have changed somewhat, and we may not be going anywhere thanks to the weather (some of the designated drivers...uh, hem AMY...has voiced concern with driving in the snow).
Hopefully we'll be going out for sushi (I've never had it) or someplace fun. If you change your mind, we'll be meeting at Dena's house @ 5:00.

And I hope we are doing something this Wednesday...IT'S MY BIRTHDAY AND I NEED A FRIEND!!!
hehe

Hello, your husband IS taking you out to dinner on your birthday, remember? Let's give me a little credit here so I don't sound like a jerk husband who forgets important birthdays now.
