Jesus coming to Maui soon!

My head hit the pillow at about 4:45am last Sunday morning. I slept in til nearly 8am. I hugged my kids, helped them gather some things and waved good-bye with a forced smile as my dad drove off with my darlings. I miss them.
Even though my body screamed for more sleep, instead I suggested to Michael that we go somewhere for my days off. I checked the flight schedules and we settled on Honolulu. I had never been to Hawaii.
When our first flight reached San Francisco, we noticed that a flight to Maui was boarding in only 15 minutes. We walked up to the counter and changed our reservation.
In no time, we were sitting in Economy Plus onboard United Airlines headed for the lovely island of Maui. We would have been seated in first class, but Michael was wearing flip flops. Doah! There is a dress code for non-reving.
O'well, better luck next time!
More pictures and stories to come, but for now...me sleepy...me go night night!

And I give a big, "HECK YES" to successful non-reving.

And have a great time in Maui!!!

(The coffee there is great, see if you can get your hands on Kona Coffee...)

Hi Ron,
Yeah, Maui was nice. We only spent a couple days there...but it seemed longer. We rented a car and drove all over. We were concerned that we wouldn't get on the flight back, but it all worked out just the way we last minute planned!

Maui on a whim...

This job rocks!

Did you go through perx to rent the car? or did you just show up and rent one?

perx? Nah, everything about this trip was spontaneous. We just showed up in Maui, rented a car from Budget and barely got a room at the Sharaton.
Next time I would suggest calling ahead to reserve a room. The car was easy, but not the hotel.
I did get the discouts though.
