Wow... I'm so glad you got to travel around the area. The south is really weird. The whole Southern Hospitality is really hard to find. In some of the smaller towns it is more common. Especially in Arkansas and Mississippi. Hamilton, AL is a great town that you should go back to and hang out with some of my friends/family.

At least for a real taste of southern hospitality.

PS. I hope you're lunch with the old astronaut went well... and also; Do you think you'll get to see the shuttle come it?

No, I didn't get to see it land. I am happy to report that it touched down safely this morning at 6:27am EST.
I did get to visit the landing strip, launch pads A & B and many other great things such as the crawler on my up close tour during my visit to KSC.
I wish I could of had more time to explore the cape.
