70's Rock Fireplace. I hate it. My girls think it's beautiful. I wish I would have known that before I started knocking it down last night. Opps.
The rest of it will soon follow...but first that popcorn ceiling has to go...NOW!

spackle- check
room emptied of everything- check
more drop clothes- check!
It's all about the prep.

sorry- IT'S COMING DOWN!!
I plan to replace it with dark grey slate tiles surrounded by a beautiful white mantel, detailed lightly with trim molding.

You will have to show a new picture when its all done so I can either agree, or sob in a corner at the destruction of such a beautiful piece of architecture. Well, currently it's not that beautiful, I guess I'm just pining for my own fireplace no matter what the look:(
