Bustin My Butt...Literally.
We knew it would happen sooner or later. Luckily it happened to me.
Someone was bound to trip over that cord. The one I use to power my computer. The one that shouldn't be strung along the floor, starting at my laptop on the kitchen table and ending at the outlet just above the bread box.
Yeah, someone was destined to trip and fall. In the process I knocked over my coffee cup and let my eggs continue to sizzle on the stove. Sickening images of my beloved ibook, the one I treat like a baby, being carelessly ripped from it's mount and tossed to the floor. In an effort to prevent this terrible tragedy, I pointed my toe and lifted my foot higher off the ground in hopes that the cord would sip away.
My plan worked. I had saved the computer from it's crushing fate. However, my foot did not meet the ground fast enough, causing me to hit the kitchen island with my backside.
Immediately my butt hurt. I became nauseous and dizzy. My hearing softened and it seemed like everyone was moving around in slow motion. I couldn't speak and sweat began to drip down my face. I'm sure I was dizzy because I had gotten up too fast.
I don't think I broke my tailbone, but it sure hurts! I can only sit if I sit straight up and lean forward slightly.
Back to work! Another trip to the hardware store...

I would kiss it to make it better, but I really hate kissing your ass :)
Hope it feels better soon.

Hi kathy-I hope that you feel better by the time you read this. I once knew a Kathy who thought she broke her tailbone-she didn't, but it was sore for awhile.
I appreciate you taking it on the ...chin to save your ibook-I was close, very close to buying one last year, but decided on the ipod instead; I love it as you do your ibook.anyway, I hope you feel better soon.

I bought a mini ipod early last summer. It's GREAT. It wasn't long before I had to have the ibook (actually I wanted the powerbook, but that was getting far too greedy).
My tailbone still hurts. I've never broken a bone, so I don't know what that feels like...still, I think it's just bruised.

Can't wait to see pictures - it's like watching HGTV.
Also, I feel down the stairs a few years ago and fractured my tailbone. I went to the doctor, they verified that it was fractured, and told me there is nothing they can do about it. To this day, it still hurts on certain seats.
