Fun Night on Uncle Buddy's Land

Hi Folks!

My Uncle (I actually have 4 uncles on my dad's side) has a large plot of land with a house in Grass Valley that I've never been to. My dad has been there many times to visit, party and work. Last night I took the girls up there after school to do some tubing. Yes, tubing. There is a water irrigation ditch that looks more like a small river, running 100+ miles through his property. My dad drove us up a ways and we floated down the icy cold water back to the house. We all had a good time, even though my tube popped and I walked back to the house with a nice scratch on my leg. Luckily the house wasn't that far away.

We had also planned on shooting my uncles pistol, but it got to dark. After a yummy hamburger/hot dog BBQ and a funny episode of "Family Guy" it was time to leave. I drove the girls back down to Sacramento (1.25 hours away) and headed back to my apartment. I was exhuasted, but it was worth it.

Sounds like great fun! (I wouldn't have gone in for the shooting, but the tubing, definitely.) We did something similar on vacation -- see my post about it, if you're so inclined. (Scroll down past the knitting stuff.)
