The second side of truth
Okay, so I know I told you that last weeks "work" was more like a paid vacation. In a way it was. But if I made anyone feel like I was rubbing it in...I apologize. That simply wasn't my intention.
If you know me at all, you will know that I choose to see the brighter side of life. Especially here on this blog. My aches and pains have also been displayed, but mostly I want to live happy.
As for my TDY to SBP...the negative side of it was that I didn't get to see my kids soccer game ( I missed Megan's first one this year) and I put last minute pressure on my in-laws by getting ripped away from my home so fast. Plus when I finally came home 5 days later, I had to work an 8 leg local starting at 5am that I had picked up a while ago on my day off to earn more money. Therefore I was very tired by Monday night and missed my girls a lot.
Yes, SBP was beautiful (pictures...I'm working on that) and I enjoyed the trip...but I was alone. One truely is the loneliest number. Going to these places and seeing these things are fun. I do enjoy them and probably will continue to take trips by myself, but doing it alone is like seeing the world in faded color.
I am looking forward to Portugal because the girls and my dad will be with me. I wish I could take everyone I care about. All the same, I'm going to enjoy the trip.
In other news- Kaytee got her braces off! Her teeth look great!
