It's not what you see, but how you see it.

On my own now

My dad finished up his part of my bathroom renovation project and said his good-byes. He'll be going back to Grass Valley to visit his brother...my uncle Buddy. My dad is one of 11 children. It seems these days they all need his help. My dad can do anything and finally his older siblings are realizing it.

So that leaves me in the drivers seat. I started out my first day alone by scraping the ceiling, drywall and removal of some yucky carpet. All things I've done before, many times. Tomorrow is a day off. Remember...the State Fair.
I hate to take time off in the middle of a project, but maybe this is needed.

Monday I first need to stop by the school to voice my opinion regarding the teacher Megan was placed with. She's just far too mean... the teacher. I'm going to try to have her moved as nicely as I can. Don't even get me started on the whole soccer team fiasco. What a nightmare.
Anyway- My plan is to start tiling the walls around the tub. They will be white glazed subway tiles with a green glass decorative insert design placed in the middle. Should be lovely.

I'm going for a vintage look. I like old things. :-)
